Edwyn W. Ortiz-Nance, Psy.D, attended California School of Professional Psychology of Alliant International University and received his Doctor of Psychology degree with a focus on Neuropsychology, Cross Cultural Psychology, and Developmental Psychology in 1999. Then, he completed post-doctoral training in infant and preschool mental health, as well as in the use of neurofeedback to treat issues such as anxiety, depression, issues of self-control, ADHD, fibromyalgia, sleep issues, developmental trauma, attachment issues, and more. Neurofeedback, also known as EEG (electroencephalogram) biofeedback, is a therapeutic intervention that provides immediate feedback from a computer-based program that assesses a client’s brainwave activity. In addition, Dr. Ortiz-Nance remains at the forefront of his challenging specialty via memberships and affiliations with prestigious professional societies and associations. Furthermore, Dr. Ortiz-Nance is certified to prescribe Monoamine Oxidase B (MAO-B) inhibitors. He feels that his success is attributable primarily to his hard work and diligence.
